(Passed) DEADLINE THURSDAY - Let the White House know you support public access to publicly funded research

Published Jan 19, 2010

January 21 is the *final* deadline to submit comments in response to the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) Request for Information (RFI) on public access to publicly funded research. Your input will be *critical* in helping the administration to form a deep and balanced view of stakeholders’ interest in ensuring public access.

We urge everyone to submit comments – as individuals or on behalf of your institutions – to publicaccess@ostp.gov NO LATER than Thursday, January 21, 2010.

Please feel free to respond to any one or combination of the questions posed by the RFI (online at http://edocket.access.gpo.gov/2009/E9-30725.htm), or to any aspect you feel comfortable with.

SPARC’s submission to the RFI has been submitted and may be viewed online at http://www.arl.org/sparc/advocacy/rfi_10-0119.shtml.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss, please contact the Alliance for Taxpayer Access.

Once again, thank you for your ongoing commitment to public access! We’ll look forward to talking with you, and to working with you on this tremendous opportunity for higher education and American public.
